The old software had a feature that I loved: I could search for people by inputting their name or part of their name, and be able to view their profile, see if they are online, or send them a PM.

How can I do that with the present software?

Where the user list displays, there should be 3 options that appear. The list of users that are currently online in the room you're in, the next tab is your friends list and the 3rd is a magnifying glass. That's where you search for users by name
