ok so the full story is a girl from school and I had been dating for 9 months and we were truly happy together, then when things started getting rough her ex asked her if she'd ever be with him again because he said and i quote "she's the only girl I'd ever want to be with", she turns him down to give us another chance and it broke his heart, I begged and begged her to stay but she and I ended up agreeing it was probably best that way she didn't have to see him heartbroken anymore, so we agreed on everything and when she promised me she'd wait at least 2 weeks before going back to him I figured out the tuesday after, which was only 5 days after she and I broke up that she started dating him again, so long story short she went back to him when he was heartbroken, but when I'm heartbroken she tells me she's happy with him, which I respect I truly do, but why can't it be the same towards me with getting you back when I'm heartbroken? and when I ask stuff like that or when I can have her back she says "idk" "it's gods choice" or "I'm happy", and when I say he got her back when he was heartbroken so why cant I and she tells me "that's not fair" but the first few weeks she was ok with trying everything humanly possible to be back together, it's just I don't know what the fuck to do, do I keep trying or do I just give up all hope? because she also told me she still likes me a tiny bit which I have trouble believing because if she truly still likes me she would've came back to me by now, it's been almost 2 months

2 years later and an update for you guys. I finally cut ties with both of them, because it turns out she just likes to use people for what she wants, and he turned out to be worse of a dick than I thought he was.
