I don't think that chatting is appropriate. If direct emotional relationships with those you know in your work or local environment fail, then what about a relationship with a woman on the Internet who maybe i will suddenly discovered that she was a 64-year-old man with a growing beard, bald, and wearing thick glasses?
The problem is that most Western societies have lost the moral compass that explains what is right and wrong, so even emotional relationships in those countries have turned into a material thing subject to the market and matter.
