VIP's and staff use the same names.
I cant speak for regular users though.

Also, they just reintroduced the forum this year.

I'm sure there's a rule about it.
Whether or not people follow it is an entirely different thing.

Also, not everyone who uses the chat uses the forums, so you're going to encounter people in the chat that you wont encounter here.
