Here are a few methods we advise other chatters who face the same issue as you and usually end up working for them in the long run:
Clear cache and cookies, restart your phone, turning your wifi/cellular data on and off, refresh the page.
If the issue persists even after trying all these solutions, try accessing the site on a different browser than the one you normally use.
As stated above,
If you're using a VPN - turn it OFF, don't change it to another, turn it OFF.
If you're using mobile date, turn off your device and re-start it.
If you have cleared your cache and cookies and you have tried the above, and you're still showing as banned - I would guess your IP is banned on another account.

I don't use a vpn but have had problems signing in before.It might help if you create a new email address .My problem was that the url given me was not highlighted and so i could not click it.Evan copy and paste did not help.So i created a new email account and then the url was highlighted and i was able to follow the prompts.
