Can you believe Alec Baldwin is going to get away with murder!

What I wanna know is why nobody checked the gun.
It wasn't supposed to be loaded.

This also wasn't the first time on this set.
His stunt double also found a live round in what was supposed to be a cold gun.
Though there have been reports that there were two accidental discharges in other situations on set, Gutierrez Reed's lawyers allege that others were at fault. "The first one on this set was the prop master and the second was a stunt man after Hannah informed him his gun was hot with blanks," they alleged.

This is also how Brandon Lee died, stated in the same source.
So why did it take killing another person for shows to start taking out live rounds in their props?
Why did it take more than one accidental shooting on set to check the guns?
And why were the props pointed at anyone to begin with?

I agree Crazy how corrupt Hollywood is not following the law putting real bullets in the gun. Alec baldwin must have a real problem with women for him ti even "joke" about aiming a gun and pulling a trigger on a Ukrainian woman.

Money and fame, as you've already said, talk.
That's somehow more important than anything else.

If the weaporino was loaded then there was bound to be some shit going on.
Gun carriers that I know have a mag in their pocket and a gun in their holdster, opposite sides.
If you have it loaded then your either too paranoid or are commiting an act of domestic terrorism

There is his side of the story, there is the prop's side of the story, there is the cops side of the story, there is the media's side of the story....in amongst the murkiness there is the truth. No one will ever know, that is why there is murkiness.

It's tragic that such accidents have happened more than once, and you're right to question the precautions taken. Brandon Lee's death was a pivotal moment that should have led to lasting safety reforms, but unfortunately, the industry didn't adopt comprehensive, standardized protocols to prevent future incidents. It’s concerning that it took multiple accidents for the emphasis on removing live rounds to become a serious practice.

Pointing props directly at anyone is indeed a significant risk, especially if they aren't verified as safe. This should prompt productions to invest in safer, reliable alternatives like CGI or non-functional prop weapons. Ultimately, a consistent, enforced standard across the industry is needed to ensure no one else is hurt.
